The beautiful golden sands of Maroubra Beach is where you will discover the fun and the challenge of the QUICKSAND Australia Beach Run.

QUICKSAND is back in 2019 and offers the fun and the challenge of soft sand running with the picturesque scenery of the beautiful Maroubra Beach, NSW. Pick your distance: 5km, 10km, half marathon or the marathon / marathon relay.

Pat Farmer, the renowned ultramarathon runner, held the inaugural QUICKSAND on the evening of the Winter Solstice of 2015. Quicksand is back and is sure to grow into one of the most popular beach run events in Australia.

QUICKSAND is one of the few runs which offers cash prizes to the winners of the male and female individual marathon and half marathon, as a reward for the hours, months and years of hard training that goes into being the best you can be.

Distance Event Entries:
5km $50.00 INCL. GST + BOOKING FEE
10km $50.00 INCL. GST + BOOKING FEE
Half Marathon $100 INCL. GST + BOOKING FEE
Marathon $100 INCL. GST + BOOKING FEE
Marathon Relay - Team of 4 $50 per person INCL. GST + BOOKING FEE
Athletes 1, 2 and 3 run 10km each, Athlete 4 runs 12.2km to the finish

Prizes
Prizes are awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female finishers in each distance event.
Cash prizes of $500 are awarded to 1st placed male and female in the individual marathon and half marathon events.
