Pat's Vision

Macarthur is a great place to live, work and raise a family. I know this from my own personal experience – I’ve lived in the area for over 20 years – and raised my family here. It's a place that has a lot to offer and it's a place that has given me a lot. And I am working hard to give something back to the area that has given my family and me so much opportunity. My time working with charities and through the Macarthur Awards has shown me how willing the people of Macarthur are to work together to get things done.

I truly believe that this unique region has a great future and that by working together we can make Macarthur an even better place to live and work. I have watched keenly as Macarthur has grown over the years. I have watched the progress of countless housing estates, shopping centres, new medical and sporting facilities, office buildings and industries as they have developed in the region.

I am working hard to ensure that more gets done for our community. Record levels of Australian Government funding are now going to our local schools, the literacy standards of our children have increased, as have the number of apprenticeships and there is significant Australian Government investment in our local hospitals, our new School of Medicine at the University of Western Sydney and our local roads. And these are just a few of the things that I have worked hard to improve.

While these things are all great, I want to make sure that more good comes to Macarthur. I want to see literacy levels improve further, I want more job opportunities for our children, I want to continue to push for more money for our roads, I want to see the area become a hub of medical excellence and I want to work with the government to encourage more businesses to relocate to our area.

But I can't achieve any of this without your support. I need to hear your views, I need to meet with community groups and of course, I need your support on polling day, to make sure good things continue to happen for our community.

I'm running for Macarthur because I believe in the future of this area and I believe that by working together we can make our case in Canberra so that together we can continue to get more good things done here and create a better future for everyone who chooses to call Macarthur home.
